MasterPage different for users from different AD Forests

Greetz!

I needed to remove some of the icons from the suiteLinksBox and suiteBrandingBox so I made a copy of the Master Page I was using and proceeded to make the changes (using SP Designer). Testing on my own account, a user from the forest on which SharePoint is installed, I was able to see that the changes were successful. I'm a Farm Admin. However when I logged in with an account from another forest which has a 2 way trust but has less permissions than mine, none of the changes were visible.

The user not seeing changes has a custom permission level. In the Site Permission level they have only - View Pages, Browse User Information, User Remote Interfaces, Open and Edit Personal information. They have a reduced set of list permissions which is everything EXCEPT Manage Lists, Override List behaviors and Approve Items.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks!

Love them all...regardless. - Buddha
