Hi,
I’m very new IT Power user with SharePoint 2013 (2 weeks experience) and I’m trying to find the quick way for customizing the built-in forms for editing Posts in SharePoint 2013 Site, based on the Blog template
The client requirements are:
- Category component - Put above the “Body” text area
- “Body” text area - Decrease width , adjust to Title text box width
I expected that I could customize the form by creating different Views by using InfoPath 2013 (I managed to do that before with Custom SharePoint Lists) but unfortunately, the lists from the referenced site such as Posts, Categories are not even listed in
the InfoPath wizard step for creating connection with the SP Lists (only List with Tasks for assigned Workflow are listed there).
Also, I checked the Form settings for the Post list in SharePoint 2013 web interface and the above is confirmed with: “InfoPath does not support customizing the form used for this list”
Could you please let me know for another approach, how I can customize the form to satisfy the requirements from above?
Please note that I’m not developer and I would like to accomplish that with a minimal development effort
Thanks,
