I created a workflow through Sharepoint Designer for your Office 365 online. The workflow starts execution on a create of a custom list item. Once it starts it waits for a date in one of the columns to arrive and then it sends an email to the owner of the item.
All that works fine. The problem is, when the workflow is started, lets say the Due Date is today at 1pm. If after the workflow is started, I change the Due Date to be 2pm, the workflow doesn't register the new value and sends the email at 1pm anyway.
My guess is that when the workflow starts, it reads the values it needs from the system and that's why it doesn't recognize the new value. Is there a way to fix this?
We are using the online solution so I don't think I can create a custom workflow with C#.
