Hello, I am fairly new to sharepoint and I am trying to Complete a workflow using SharePoint Desiginer 2013. I cannot use the approval workflow built into SharePoint server so I must build a workflow from scratch in designer. Attached is a picture of the workflow I am aiming to create. I will need to create this by doing stages and steps not the Visio builder.
I am having trouble finding a good tutorial on building a workflow like this because they all naturally go to the approval workflow template built into SharePoint.
Is there a way to build this in Designer without having to Code anything? If so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is some other information. The workflow will be using our established (New Event List). Once the item is approved I do not want it to be added to a Calendar view within that list. Instead I would like a calendar entry to be added to the already established (Event Calendar).
A couple other items that I am going to try and tackle in the future that are not shown in the workflow are that once an item is submitted and the workflow starts, every 3 days I want an alert to go to the person reviewing these documents to let them know they have items in the queue that need to be approved or rejected.
Finally I would also eventually like to take the information entered into the fields from the (New Event Form), and on the day after the event have it auto generate a new entry on a different list we have called the (Event Reporting Form). This would stop the employee from having to fill out the same information fields twice on two different forms.
